Our Community Needs Help
Hundreds of families in Seminole County experienced flooding in their homes due to the high level of rainfall caused by the recent storms. Power outages and rising waters have left many local residents in need of food and other basic necessities. Household appliances and cars were also damaged by the flooding. Many of our neighbors are struggling with the compounded hardship caused by Tropical Storm Fay in the midst of an already challenging economy. Harvest Time International is reaching out to the community for its support. They are asking for donations to help those in need. You can all help by donating any of items listed below, through cash donations or by volunteering time to help your fellow neighbors. The follow items are needed:
Food* (canned goods, cereals, water, juices, peanut butter, etc.)
Clothing & Shoes (men’s, women’s and children’s – please in good condition!)
Blankets & Bedding
Tarps
Cleaning Supplies*
Toiletries* (toothpaste, shampoo, soap, etc.)
Working Household Appliances
Furniture
*Before you head out to purchase these items, Harvest Time International is able to buy these items in bulk for a discount allowing them to acquire three times as much for the same amount it would cost at a local retailer. Please consider making a monetary donation instead.
Donations may be dropped off at Harvest Time International, 225 N. Kennel Road, Sanford, FL 32771, Monday to Friday 9am to 4:30pm and Saturday August 30th from 8am to 1pm. Volunteers are always needed and welcomed. Please call if you have any questions or if you would like to volunteer,
